Nevada: Las Vegas area

Large multispecialty group seeking 3 new associates for a 100% inpatient position. They currently staff 2 hospitals (800 beds and 250 beds), and demand is increasing. Each Hospitalist team staffs only one hospital. This is a very financially stable, growing and collegial practice offering a superb lifestyle! The schedule is 7 days on and 7 off. Hours are 8am-8pm, (12 hour shifts).  Each Hospitalist is scheduled off 26 weeks a year! A designated night team covers nights.  Hospitalists manage maximum of 20 patients per shift. ICU patients are co-managed with cardiologists and intensivists. On call for ER every day you are on for 3 hours at a time at most hospitals, and cannot do more than 5 admits per shift. They are seeking someone with an internal medicine background and would love to have someone with critical care. The critical care is not an absolute.  They average 12 – 18 patients a day in the practice and about 20 percent of those are ICU patients. They do need someone who will be able to do central lines. Their typical schedule is to do rounds for six days followed by six days off. Call is every other day when on service and is 24 hours, but not in house. You would also be responsible for rounds the next day.
